An elaborately decorated pair of Doulton Lambeth Silicon ware vases by one of the finest designers of the late 19th century – Frances E Lee – in near perfect and unrestored condition.
The 18.5cm (7.5in) Doulton Lambeth vases each have the incised monogram of Frances E Lee, with her number 802. They have the impressed Doulton Lambeth Silicon mark with the date 1885. The vases weigh 1555g.
The vases are in excellent condition, without cracks or restoration. One vase has a minimal number of missing 1mm dia beads around the upper white frieze that circles the vases. The appearance of the vases is not affected by this loss.
