This 23cm (9in) Royal Doulton vase shows the ‘great’ Mark Marshall at his creative best. The shape, the colours, and the exotic bird are all typical of the creative thinking of this creative designer. Mark Marshall was never repetitive or boring! A gem of a vase.
The vase has the Impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion, dating the vase to post-1902. It is signed in monogram by Mark Marshall and numbered 16. It is also signed in monogram by Marshall’s assistant, Jane Hurst and has a series number 893C. The vase weighs 521g.
The vase is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, restoration or significant scratches.
