This 25cm (10in) Royal Doulton vase, with its contrasting colours makes a very strong visual impact – it ‘punches above its weight’! Probably made in her later years at Doulton – the 1910s – it demonstrates both the dexterity and the creativity of this under-estimated designer.
The vase has the impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion. It is signed in monogram by Margaret E Thompson and numbered 83 by her. It also has her assistant’s monogram ‘LB’. The vase weighs 2386g.
The vase is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing or significant scratches.
