This 13.5cm globular vase is innovative for a Royal Doulton vase from the 1930s. Whereas the shape of the vase is purely traditional, the nature and colour of the glazes is ground-breaking.
The vase has the impressed Royal Doulton mark with lion, the series number 11884, and the incised monogram of Joan Honey. The vase probably dates from the 1930s. The vase weighs 814g.
The vase is in 100% mint condition, with the exception of a minute chip on the inside edge of the base rim - totally invisible except by turning the vase over. It has a small deposit of original kiln grit on the shoulder, measuring about 10mm by 4mm. Fortunately it is on the reverse of the vase!
