A pair of Doulton Lambeth Silicon ware 8.25in (21cm) vases exuberantly and extensively decorated by Martha Rogers with incised and pāte-sur-pāte designs. So often such vases have a panel on one side of elaborate design and the reverse of the vases is plain. Martha Rogers went to town on these, covering the whole vases with design, right up to the top rim!
The vases have the Doulton Lambeth Silicon mark with the date 1884. They are signed in monogram by Martha Rogers and numbered 849 by her. As the vases have no marks fo any assistants, these must have been "all her own work"! The H.W. mark indicates that they are resistant to hot water! The vases weigh a total of 1918g
The vases are in mint condition, with no defects or restoration.
