A pair of Doulton Lambeth 10.5in (26cm) vases by Eliza Simmance - 482

This pair of vases were made at a turning point in the designs of Eliza Simmance. They have the combination of an elaborate Victorian design, but with the individual shapes treated with more of the style of the Art Nouveau movement.

A pair of 10.5in (26cm) vases signed by Eliza Simmance and her assistant Jane Hurst, and numbered 482. The vases have the Doulton Lambeth mark with the word ’ENGLAND’ underneath, dating the vases to the period 1892-1902. The vases weigh 2884g.
