A breath of fresh air!! A beautiful vase that is reminiscent of the open countryside, with a depiction of brightly coloured flowers against a green (field?) background.
The 11in (27.5cm) Doulton Lambeth Faience vase has impressed Doulton Lambeth Faience mark and a printed Doulton Lambeth mark. It is signed in monogram by Agnes Baigent.
Agnes E M Baigent worked for Doultons from 1901 to 1910. She specialised in stylised floral designs. These are usually accentuated by the use of a dark outline to the flowers, against a contrasting background. The vase weighs 1080g.
There is a hairllne crack to the body of the vase has been professionally and invisibly restored.
