A pretty Doulton Lambeth vase by Emily Stormer that, in terms of both design and execution, one would imagine had been done by one of the leading designers. The precision of the application of the coloured glazes is remarkable.
The 7in (17cm) Doulton Lambeth vase has the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark and is signed in monogram by Elizabeth Stormer, and dated 1884. It is also signed in monogram by two of Emily Stormer’s assistants, Emily Partington, and an unknown assistant, “MGT”. It is numbered 32.
A rim chip has been professionally and invisibly restored.
