Royal Doulton Art Nouveau stoneware flask by Marion Holbrook - 1902

This stoneware flask shows the influence of designers such as Charles Renee Mackintosh, both with regard to the applied decoration and the colour. It has the impressed Doulton Circle Mark with Crown and Lion and the monogram of Marion Holbrook. The flask probably dates from the period 1905-1914. The applied floral motif is recorded as being in use by 1905. By this period the tube-lined items with colour blocks had given way to softer lines and colours.

The flask is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, crazing or restoration,
