Royal Doulton Art Nouveau stoneware vase - 7760F

A superb vase, whose simplicity contrasts so strongly with the High Victorian design of the 1890s, a decade before, represents a turning point in the Doulton designs. It has an impressed Doulton Circle Mark with Crown and Lion, and the monogram of Bessie Newbery. Bessie Newbery, who worked at Doulton's for over 40 years, was one of the finest ceramic artists that Doulton had. At times she initiated her own designs.

The vase is in perfect condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or restoration.
