Royal Doulton stoneware bowl by one of Doulton's leading ceramic artists, Bessie Newbery, in art Nouveau Style.

This delightful and unusual bowl was crafted by Bessie Newbery, who spent over 40 years at Doultons. The bowl is 20cm in diameter and 7cm tall. It has the impressed Doulton Circle mark with Crown and Lion, and Bessie Newbery's signature in monogram.

The soft pastel pink of the bowl is most unusual for a Royal Doulton item, as are the stylised bee motifs - butterflies are much more common.

The bowl is in good condition with no cracks crazing or restoration, but there is a very small 2mm 'fleabite' out of the rim at one point.
