Royal Doulton small stoneware jug - 4963

This little jug in design terms is miles from the high Victorian elaborate items produced by Doulton in the last quarter of the 19th century. It has the impressed Doulton Circle mark with Crown and Lion suggesting a date very early in the 20th century, but stylistically it is likely to come from the late 1930s.

It is free from cracks, chips crazing and restoration, but there is some wear to the glaze around perimeter of the lower part of the jug.
