Royal Doulton stoneware vase - 1930/40s

This vase has the impressed Doulton Circle mark with Lion, and in indecipherable signature underneath. The work has a very strong resemblance to that of Vera Huggins on page 228 of Desmond Eyles' 'The Doulton Lambeth Wares'. Using this as a model, the vase probably was an 'avant guard' deign from the 1930s.

It is in perfect original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
