The china jampot has the Doulton Burslem mark underneath without the word 'England', indicating a manufacturing date of 1896-1891. The jampot was made for export to the USA, and the marks on the underside of the lids do not indicate that the metal handle, lids and rims are silver to UK hallmarking standards.
The jam pot is in good condition, with no cracks or restoration. There are 3 very small chips to the underside, that do not show when the jampot is displayed. There is a very small amount of wear to the top edge of the jampot - see photos.
