Doulton Burslem 'Spanish' ware has the outlines and other highlights of the design delineated with a metallic gold line. This particularly fine china vase uses an unusually wide variety of colours - red, orange, gold, red blue, green and gold. It has the Doulton Burslem mark, without the word 'England' underneath, indicating production in the period 1886-91.
The china vase is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or resorations, and all the gilding is in pristine condition. There is some very fine crazing that is virtually invisible to the naked eye.
