Doulton Burslem bud vase

This Doulton Burslem vase would appear to be an experimental item or prototype. It has an impressed 'Doulton' mark, a monogram JB, what appears to be a date - '11-84', and an impressed '9X'. It is not normal to have a white ground, and the use of purple and dark green is also unusual.

The vase is in good condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations. There is some wear of the gilding and light crazing to the body of the vase.
