DESCRIPTION.
This 8" (20cm) Royal Doulton vase was probably designed as a spill vase. Its simple geometrical configuration is typical of the Art Deco period. Straight sides and rectangular patterns are typical of the Doulton output of the 1930's.
The vase has the impressed Doulton Mark with Crown and Lion, the series number 6118 (or 8119?!), and the incised monogram of Florrie Jones.
CONDITION.
The vase is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. The glaze is slightly matt in small ares where the final coating was thin. There is one light scratch approx 3mm long.
