DESCRIPTION.
The bibelot is illustrated on page 260 of Desmond Eyles' "The Doulton Lambeth Wares". In the Doulton advertisement reproduced there it is described as an ashtray. The advert dates from 1935. This example is signed by Winnie Bowstead. It measures 6" from edge to edge.
CONDITION.
It is in mint condition, with no cracks, chips, crazing restoration or significant scratching. There is some bubbling of the glaze around the dragonfly's head, which is shown in the photos.
