DESCRIPTION
The elaborate Douton Lambeth planter is signed by the ceramic artist Emily Partington. Made between 1892, and 1902, it has all the hallmarks of Victorian design - detailed embossed designs, swirling loops at each end and underneath, and a frilly rim. It has the Doulton impressed mark, with 'ENGLAND' dating it as above. It also has the series number 4237 and a registered design number 152995.
CONDITION
The planter is in excellent condition except for a small rim chip. This will be restored in such a way as to be undetectable visually. There are no cracks, crazing, other restorations or chips, and no significant scratches.
