A 6.5" (16cm) diameter and 5" (12.5cm) tall Royal Doulton Stoneware vase in 'Arts and Crafts' style by Harry Simeon and Florrie Jones. This vase illustrates the development of Doulton design from the Victorian, through the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles to the earthiness in texture and colour of the Arts and Crafts movement.
A Royal doulton stoneware vase in the 'Arts and Crafts' style by one of the greatest of Doulton's designers - Harry Simeon. Underneath, it has his 'HS' monogram, that of his assistant, Florrie Jones, the Doulton design number 8203, and Harry Simeon's design number 589. The vase is finished in semi-matt glaze.
The vase is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, or restorations.
