Doulton Artist
This is a catalogue of work by Doulton artist Vera Huggins.
Vera Huggins Joined Doulton in 1923. She produced not only individual pieces that were exhibited and admired around the world, but also designs for mass production by others. She bridged the gap between the deeply incised Doulton designs of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the sculptured shapes of the mid and late 20th century. Her shapes were varied, and often had shallow incised designs that gave an extra dimension to the areas of coloured and glazed detail. She worked at Doultons for 27 years, finishing in 1950.
