A pair of Royal Doulton Art Deco Vases - 8117
This is a pair of large heavy and bold Royal Doulton Art Deco vases by Jane Hurst. They measure 10" (25cm) tall and a maximum of 4.5" (11.5cm) diameter at the base, and were probably designed as spill vases for the ends of a mantelpiece. The period during which Jane Hurst worked at Doultons is not known for certain, but Desmond Eyles in his book 'The Doulton Lambeth Wares' suggests 1879-1922.
